My wife and I inquired about a replacement deck with Terry Burgess in September 2020, along with two other contractors in the Topeka area. Terry was the only one who really listened to our desired plan. We couldn't immediately afford the proposed deck, but when I contacted him two years later, he remembered us and updated a revised quote along with our deck revisions. I had built a pergola in the backyard after Terry's first visit. We wanted a deck that would match or compliment the pergola. He and his crew arrived as expected. The whole crew was very respectful, courteous and cleaned up after each day (a big plus). We couldn't be happier with the end result. Terry had excellent communication before, during and at completion. The goal was a quality deck that complimented the backyard. Terry and his crew achieved just that with superb quality. We highly recommend his services.

We absolutely loved working with Terry and his crew! He did amazing work and talked through every detail with us to make sure everything was what and how we wanted! He was always quick to respond and just a great person to work with! We love our patio, our deck, and all of the sidewalk/concrete work they completed! We will definitely be using Burgess Construction again very soon! We highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Fantastic friendly service at a great price. Had a 15x30 concrete patio poured. They were done in less than a day and it looks amazing.

Burgess did an excellent job on a complicated driveway, due to varying elevations. The new drainage under driveway and sidewalk handled last nights rainstorm like a charm. Terry the owner and his employees are hard workers and go out of their way to please. I would highly recommend.
Terry and his crew were so wonderful to work with. My husband and I both were highly impressed with their work ethic and skill level! We had a large driveway and a 14x14 pad put in for the pool. The new driveway is larger than the previous one so my favorite little bush had to be removed ☹️ My husband tried to replant it in a different spot but we have so many rocks he couldn’t get through. Terry ( without being asked) took his bobcat and hammered through the huge rock enabling us to replant my bush😬! They went above and beyond in every way on this job and we are so incredibly grateful to have found them. They work hard, show up on time, have a great attitude and take great care to get everything exactly right. I highly recommend them!
Terry Burgess and his hard working crew did a fabulous job replacing my sidewalk in front of my home. Terry took care of all the permits and his workers were very courteous, efficient and professional. Terry worked alongside them and you could tell that his crew genuinely liked him - and respected him for his willingness to “get his hands dirty.” The job was done well, in a timely manner, and exceeded my expectations. Several of my neighbors had his company replace their sidewalks and we were all impressed with the results. His company certainly deserves a five star rating!
